Vicenza "ARAZZI NEI PALAZZI" 11/10-2013

Un sentito GRAZIE a Coordinamento Tessitori che insieme a ABILMENTE, la fiera a Vicenza che ci ha permesso di ammirare le opere di diverse splendide artiste nelle otto mostre ARRAZZI NEI PALAZZI.

GRAZIE TANTE per l'occassione di partecipare un giorno intero con laboratorio di feltro- con corsi e dimostrazioni... in questo contesto incantevole. Qui siamo al Museo Diocesano.

Ecco la dimostrazione di qualche pezzo di nunofeltro- la lana infeltrito con la stoffa, in questo caso chiffon di seta, lana Merino e fibre vari, sotto gli occhi vigili dei ragazzi di un Liceo Artistico.

THANK YOU to Coordinamento Tessitori & ABILMENTE, the fair in Vicenza that have given us the oppurtunity to admire some astonishing fiber art, in eight exhibitions in the centre of Vicenza.

Thank you for the ocassion to partecipate actively offering demonstrations and workshops with felt for a whole day.
Here you can see a demonstration of nunofelt- wool felted together with fabric, in this case silk chiffon, Merino wool and other fibres, under the vivid eys of the students from an art school

Sign of times

Patternmaking itches my fingers!! Funny how they're moving rapidly across the paper... after the planning, casting a side the thoughts- being captured by the pen and the idea!! GREAT to follow the instinctive hands- moving, moving as they always did this kind of work. So enjoyable!

Actually this pic is out of the way, as I'm doing seamless nunofelt  this moment. But I felt inspired by the colored river and the promise of future projects!

New projects coming up!!! Having fun- combining patternmaking and nunofelt...

Laureata nel ... indovina un po'... il cuore artificiale. Ecco che vi presento:  
Cardio West Total Artificial Heart. 

 Ovviamente per fare la copertina del album delle foto ho scelto di cercare i materiali contrastanti: l'organico della lana/feltro e la plastica rigida, liscia, scivolosa e trasparente. E poi accanto che altro del tessuto- non tessuto: una camiciola celeste da ospedale.....

Graduated in... guess what... the artificial heart. So here I present:
Cardio West Total Artificial Heart.

To create the cover of a photoalbum, naturally I chose contrasting materials: The organic of the handfelted wool combined with the rigid, smooth, slippery and transparent plastic. Next to the nonwoven fabric of a hospital shirt

La stessa giacca... belle emozioni

Una giacca... una veste... una calorosa protezione... un abbraccio morbido.

Nunofeltro in lana merino e garza di cotone. Reversibile e senza cuciture.

summertime... tingenes vaesen - finde poesien i gentagelsen... rytmen

Her tilbringer jeg en del tid i sommerperioden... backstage i restauranten og ekvilibristisk ballerina mellem borde... frem og tilbage med maengder af tallerkner, glas... mens jeg gaar paa opdagelse og leder efter poesien i oejeblikket- at maerke tingenes vaesen. Finde rytme, former, lys/skygge, gennemsigtighed, lag... inspiration i gentagelsen.

So this is where I spend a lot of time this summer- backstage at the restaurant... equilibristic ballerina between the tables... serching for the poetic sence in all the ordinarieties, the repetition. Discovering rhythm, forms, coloursymphonies, shades & shadows, transparency, layers...
